After that Psara Licence was formed to protect various sectors of businesses.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-is-psara-license\"><strong>WHAT IS PSARA LICENSE?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Private Security Agencies Regulation Act (2005),<\/strong> this act was enacted to make sure that Security agencies operate with a legal framework. The second and foremost reason for creating this act was, to upgrade the Private Security Agencies Standards. Now, the question arises what are security agencies?<\/p>\n<p>Those businesses that provide training and security services are known as Security Agencies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you know?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Security agencies cannot survive (Lawfully) without a Psara License. Additionally, these security agencies also provide training for their security careers.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-are-the-benefits-of-a-psara-license\"><strong>WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A PSARA LICENSE?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Increases the credibility of the company.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Helps in retaining Customer\u2019s trust.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Avoid denial of rights and services.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the smooth functioning of the company.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"what-are-the-documents-required-for-the-psara-license\"><strong>WHAT ARE THE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE PSARA LICENSE?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Character certificate of Employees.<\/li>\n<li>Pan details\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Identity proof of all the directors and employees.<\/li>\n<li>Address proof of the registered office.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Employees State Insurance\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Logo of the agency<\/li>\n<li>Copy of ITR of each director.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of Incorporation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)<\/li>\n<li>An affidavit was obtained as per the Psara Act.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"eligibility-criteria-to-apply-for-psara-license\"><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO APPLY FOR PSARA LICENSE<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Not every private agency is eligible to apply for a Psara License. There are various criteria specified under Psara registration for obtaining the License.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO BECOME A SECURITY GUARD<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The person must be an Indian citizen.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The age limit for a security guard is 18-65.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The person must be trained.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>He\/She should qualify for all the physical standards.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>He\/She must not be terminated from any government services.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The person should assure the PSA about his character.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"guidelines-for-renewal-of-psara-license\">GUIDELINES FOR RENEWAL OF PSARA LICENSE<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A Psara license is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance of the License.<\/li>\n<li>But there are exceptions, as in Uttrakhand and Chattisgarh, the license should get renewed after 1 year from the date of issuance of the license.<\/li>\n<li>For a renewable Psara license, an application can be made to the controlling authority not less than 45 days before the expiry of the validity period.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Additionally, the form must be made with the relevant documents and the fee provided under Sections 6, 7, and 11 of the act.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The controlling authority shall pass an order on the application of the renewable within 30 days from the date.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"penalties-under-psara-act\"><strong>PENALTIES UNDER PSARA ACT<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A person operating the security agency without a Psara License can be punished with imprisonment or with a fine of \u20b92500 or both.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>If any security guard wears the uniform of any army, police, or navy officer or any appearance like the above mentioned.
